STS-1 Part One Hi Def Version

This is the story of the first Space Shuttle Flight. Two men board a virtually untested spacecraft and blaze a path for future generations of astronauts to follow. Part one starts off at the moon and gives us a brief synopsis of why NASA had to build the Space Shuttle rather than continue using disposable rockets. We then witness the launch of Space Shuttle Columbia and follow it on its first orbit around the Earth. This is the High Definition Version which will eventually replace the low definition version of this film.
